I’d heard a lot about Brand Insider’s fireside chats from several colleagues, and last Saturday I finally got to experience one for myself. The topic, “Purpose-Driven Marketing,” was led by Stanley Kafu, and it truly made me pause and reflect.

As marketers, we know that sustainability and purpose are important, but bringing that mindset to decision makers - getting them to see that marketing should go beyond conversions and profits - isn’t always easy. These initiatives not only make a positive impact but also benefit the business in the long run. Stanley summed it up perfectly: “It’s no longer a nice thing to do; it’s a must.”

What I also loved about the session was how interactive and intimate it was. It wasn’t just about listening to the speaker - you learned from everyone in the room, which made the discussion even more engaging.

We kicked off this Women’s Day with a Financial Wellness talk led by Edmund Munyagi. It was quite an insightful and eye-opening session.

Twinning in style with all the beautiful women at Sportpesa Tanzania was the cherry on top. Leave it to women to come up with the most creative outfits with just one piece of fabric!
