Switzerland has launched a referendum in which citizens will decide whether to set a population limit of 10 million people, Reuters reports.

The initiative comes amid growing pressure on the country's housing market, transport network, and public infrastructure. Switzerland currently has a population of around 9 million, with immigration remaining the main driver of population growth.

If approved, the government would be required to take measures to curb migration. The move could also affect existing agreements with the EU on the free movement of people.

A protest against a resort development project linked to Donald Trump's son-in-law has ended in clashes in Albania, according to The Guardian.

The newspaper reports that around 200 members of the “Flamingo Revolution” movement dismantled metal fences and barbed-wire barriers surrounding a luxury development on the Adriatic coast that has been associated with Jared Kushner.

During the demonstration, clashes broke out between protesters and law enforcement officers. At the same time, police did not prevent the removal of the fences.

A U.S. court has declined to block a UFC event planned on the grounds of the White House to mark Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.

The judge ruled that there was insufficient evidence to conclude that the event would be harmful or unsafe. The court also noted that preparations for the event have been underway for months, while the lawsuit was filed only recently.

Construction of the arena for UFC Freedom Fights 250, scheduled for June 14, began on May 26. Trump has long been a supporter of the UFC and regularly attends the organization’s events. He first announced plans to hold a fight at the White House in honor of his 80th birthday on July 3, 2025.

During the ceasefire with the United States, Iran may have significantly rebuilt its missile capabilities and replenished its weapons stockpiles, including through deliveries from Russia, Bloomberg reports.

According to assessments by Western allies, Tehran restored a substantial portion of its missile arsenal during the eight-week pause in hostilities, giving it the ability to launch a large-scale retaliatory strike if fighting resumes.

Sources say Iran currently possesses about 75% of the missile inventory it had before the war and continues to expand its stockpiles. Part of this arsenal may include Russian-made missiles produced within the past year.
