🍎🍎🍎
Since ancient times, the apple has symbolized not only its fruit but also a fateful sign capable of changing the course of events. It is associated with terrifying and mysterious stories across cultures.
⚔️ The most famous legend is the "apple of discord" from Greek mythology. A golden apple inscribed "To the fairest" caused a quarrel between the goddesses Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite. The dispute over who would receive this gift ultimately led to the Trojan War, one of the most famous battles of the ancient world.
🧙 Another story is the "apple of death" from the fairy tale of Snow White. An evil stepmother-witch poisoned a beautiful, rosy apple to kill her stepdaughter. On one side, the fruit was attractive and shiny, but on the other, laced with poison. After eating a piece, Snow White fell into a dead sleep until she was saved by love and a miracle.
👸 Norse mythology also features apples—the apples of Idunn, the goddess of eternal youth. These fruits granted the gods immortality and strength. When the giant Thiazi kidnapped Idunn and her magical apples, the gods began to age and weaken. Only after the goddess's return were their youth and life restored.
🐍 And finally, the ancient biblical story of Adam and Eve. According to the Old Testament, God forbade the first humans from eating the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. However, the serpent tempted Eve, and she disobeyed the prohibition and gave the apple to Adam. After this, they realized their nakedness and were expelled from Paradise. Since then, the apple has become a symbol of temptation, knowledge, and the loss of innocence.
