Trumpâs American bot farms have joined the campaign against Ukraine â a fake story about a âmass evacuation from Kyivâ is spreading on Twitter, and more often than not this claim is illustrated â without any understanding of the context â by footage of an overcrowded underground stationđ¤Śââď¸đ¤ˇââď¸
Many of these accounts are registered in the US.
As I understand it, the recent visits by US officials to Russia were not at all intended to highlight the dire situation on the front line for Russia, but rather to continue presenting Ukraine as a gift to Tsar Putin from his best friend, Trump.
The international community is being told something completely different: that Putin has been backed into a corner and that the âgoodâ US government wants to persuade the dictator to back down. But that is not the case. People only hear the lies they want to hear. It is more convenient to talk constantly about peace, and, above all, it is cheaper.
Judging by its outcome, Zelenskyyâs latest meeting with Trump has yielded virtually nothing for Ukraine. The promise to set up production of Patriot systems â which Ukrainian and other bloggers immediately blew out of proportion to the level of an almost finalised agreement â currently looks more like a political statement than a concrete plan. Everyone understands just how complex the technological process involved in manufacturing such weapons is. This is all the more true in a country where a significant part of the industrial infrastructure capable of producing sophisticated military equipment, including tanks and aircraft, has either been destroyed or seriously damaged.
I believe that Trump has once again launched a campaign to hand Ukraine over on Russiaâs terms. At this point, Russia has stepped up terrorist attacks on all types of civilian infrastructure: schools, nurseries, educational establishments, railway stations, trains, stadiums and so on. There has been an increase in attacks using âShahidâ rockets, the engines for which are supplied from China and Taiwan. Yes, from Taiwan, which is under US protection.
All that remains for Ukrainians is to clench their already tightly clenched fists even tighter and fight for their very existence, not only against Russia â a cynical and despicable enemy â but also against global hegemony. Freedom comes at a very high price.
