On 30 November, Kazakhstan's foreign ministry called Ukraine's strike on the CPC terminal "the third act of aggression against an exclusively civilian object." Astana demanded Ukraine take "effective measures to prevent such incidents."

Two days earlier, Russia launched a 9-hour combined missile-drone attack against Ukraine. The result: 500,000 Kyiv residents without electricity, over 100,000 more in Kyiv Oblast in the dark, civilians killed and injured.

Kazakhstan's response to that? Nothing. Not a word.

Kyiv noticed. Ukraine's foreign ministry pointed to "the absence of previous statements from the Kazakh side condemning strikes by the Russian Federation on civilians, residential buildings, civilian infrastructure."

The CPC pipeline runs 1,500 km from Kazakhstan's Tengiz oil field to Russia's Black Sea port at Novorossiysk. It carries 73% of Kazakhstan's oil exports. Russia controls every kilometer.

Kazakhstan has issued zero statements condemning Russian strikes on Ukraine since 2022.

A wave of sabotage is hitting Russian-controlled Ukrainian territory and the Russian Federation itself.

Partisans and infiltrators have destroyed a missile loading vehicle in Kursk, taken out a radar supporting air defense, and filmed fighter jets inside occupied Crimea.

In occupied Luhansk, four Russian soldiers died after explosives detonated under their vehicles.

Deep inside Russia, communication towers, railway systems, and even the Ring oil pipeline near Moscow were attacked. These operations are straining Russian manpower and forcing security forces to defend areas once considered secure.

Near-daily sabotage and intelligence leaks are eroding the Kremlin’s confidence in rear-area security.

Our Heroes shall never be forgotten.
They were career or volunteer soldiers, family men and women, professionals and art-ists.
Let us keep the Defenders of Ukraine in our thoughts and prayers.

RIP - Maksym Yemets, Belarusian fighter Aliaksei Audzei, Oleksandr Mazepa, Liubomyr Zhovnirovych (42)

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

Good morning World! Good morning Ukraine!

Ukrainian artist Andriy Yermolenko has created a new mural in Ternopil: a child shielding her toys from an incoming Russian missile. It stands on a wall close to the residential building struck on 19 November, when a Russian attack killed 35 people, including 7 children.

Yermolenko’s message:

"This tragedy happened as the world discussed Trump’s 28-point “peace plan.”
One question: Is there a point that brings these children back?

A point that stops the rockets?
A point that lets Ukrainian children sleep and wake up?
No.

Political plans do not stop those who continue to kill.
You cannot negotiate with a maniac.
You cannot ask the victims to “be quieter” while they are bombed.

Only strength and the ability to defend oneself can stop the aggressor.
Air defense is protection. Air defense is life."

This mural is a cry for help.
A reminder that appeasement with those who attack is not peace.
A demand to the world: Save Ukrainian children!

Sweden's Church has issued an official warning to parishes: stop inviting nuns from Belarus's St. Elisabeth Convent.

The reason? Their income funds Russia's invasion of Ukraine — and the monastery has documented ties to Russia's military intelligence, the GRU.

The convent's leader, Archpriest Andrey Lemeshonok, doesn't hide it. He calls his monastery "a combat unit" whose nuns "fight for our future." On Victory Day, he praised Russian soldiers dying in Ukraine as "our best guys."

This isn't a small operation. Investigators describe it as an "Orthodox holding company" with 1,600 employees, 12 churches, 70 shops, and workshops producing crafts sold at Christmas markets across Europe.

Sweden joins a growing list of countries pushing back. In 2022, Wi******er Cathedral in England suspended the convent's Christmas stall over concerns about its pro-Russian leadership.

In December 2024, Belarusian diaspora protesters in Poland held banners reading "Buying here you support Russian aggression against Ukraine" — the stall was shut down.

The Church of Sweden estimates 10-20 parishes have collaborated with the convent over the years. That's now over.

A Russian assault team trying to slip through the ruins of Myrnohrad under fog cover was ambushed and captured alive by Ukrainian marines.

The group had entered a destroyed building in central Myrnohrad but was spotted by a Ukrainian drone. Taking advantage of the poor visibility, Ukrainian troops silently encircled the Russians, who surrendered without resistance.

The capture came amid Russia’s ongoing bombardment of Donetsk Oblast, where about 15,000 shells and 150 glide bombs are being used daily, according to Reporting from Ukraine.

Fog and shattered buildings helped turn Russia’s high-stakes push into a quiet surrender on the town’s front line.

A sanctioned Russian oligarch has discovered a legal backdoor with the potential to blow a hole in the West’s entire sanctions regime.
Mikhail Fridman is using ISDS arbitration—a mechanism buried in thousands of investment treaties—to sue Western governments for freezing his assets. His legal team includes Omnia Strategy, the firm founded by Cherie Blair, the wife of former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.

If Fridman wins, every sanctioned oligarch could try the same route, forcing governments to choose between billion-euro payouts or weakening sanctions on Russia.
Europe is alarmed—and scrambling to close the loophole before others exploit it.

Russia’s oil sector is sliding into a deeper crisis than Moscow admits. Nearly half of Russia’s oil firms are now losing money, and even giants like Surgutneftegaz have swung from multibillion-dollar profits to steep losses.

Ukraine’s new sanctions—aligned with those of the US—land at a moment when Russia’s energy revenues are shrinking, markets are jittery, and major Asian buyers have paused their purchases.

This isn’t just diplomatic choreography. It’s a signal: Kyiv is tightening pressure exactly when Moscow’s most important industry is showing structural weakness.

Read what the numbers reveal about Russia’s oil dependence—and why timing matters.

Kyiv’s 13th synchronized package arrives as Russia’s oil sector shows signs of systemic crisis.

Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry issued a formal protest over damage to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium infrastructure, calling it "the third act of aggression against an exclusively civilian object."

Ukraine's response was pointed: "We draw attention to the absence of previous statements from the Kazakh side condemning strikes by the Russian Federation on civilians in Ukraine, residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, and our country's energy system."

Just two days earlier, Russia launched a 9-hour combined missile-drone attack that killed and injured civilians while leaving 500,000+ Kyiv residents without electricity.

Kazakhstan exports 73% of its oil through Russian pipelines. That dependency helps explain Astana's selective concern. ⤵️
