Agriculture has been and is still the backbone of 's economy, West Nile and Northern region has for long been faced with the challenge of only practicing subsistence farming despite the fact that government has structures to help Ugandans become better farmers such as extension workers attached to every subcounty but you can also yourself if you have an extension worker in your village or area or not and what are they doing yet they are earning salary.

A WestNile founded company Omia Agribusiness Development Group (OADG) LTD known to many as "OMIA", which took on the to change WestNile and Northern Uganda farming narrative 6 years ago by offering training, mentorship and much needed support to WestNile farmers and to date they have expanded to all the districts of WestNile and have expanded to Acholi sub region, Kiryadongo, Masindi and Kampala, they have been able to reach to 49,494 farmers of which 12.5% refugees are refugees.

Last year they started the WestNile Agribusiness and renewable energy expo the first ever agricultural expo in WestNile, probably even Northern region, this expo provides a platform for farmers to learn different technologies from different actors in the Agribusiness and Renewable Energy Space.
This is through exhibitions by agribusiness and energy companies, direct trainings by experts and through networking

The 2nd edition of the WestNile Agribusiness and renewable energy expo is coming up on February starting on the 6th to 8th, February 2025 at OPM grounds and it's free of charge.

Today we take this time to share light on one of the most important transforming projects in Arua City that we can all be part of.
I'm talking about MAMA GLORIA CHILDREN'S SANCTUARY, an initiative that gives hope to abondoned children and struggling teenage mother's.
It's an initiative started by one person BUT we can all support it to grow to give better live to the innocent children who deserve it better.

Did you know that in Arua, there is no centre that caters for abondoned babies and yet many babied continue to be abondoned in rubbish places, toilets, roads and everywhere and where about of their parents aren't traceable, and every baby in that position is taken to the police which can't even take care of them.

This challenge gave birth to MAMA GLORIA CHILDREN'S SANCTUARY, that started by one motherly lady accepting to share the little she has to give a better life to innocent babies, she started with one child but ever since the demand is growing and she can no longer do it alone she needs your support and my support to provide hope, future and home for these children.

Today there are over 10 children in her care and this is possible with the support of some friends who keep the children in their homes, she hopes to provide a home for all these children in one location and cater for them where they will get Education support, health support and all their necessities ro grow well, giving us, me and you an opportunity to make this grow, she is in the process of registering the institution as an organisation but the current children under her need support which is overwhelming, I know anyone who has a child can vision the challenge of caring for 19 children.

Music making/production is one of the most challenging tasks or works to do and it is really appreciated, and yet every human being has attachment to a particular type of music.

Most of the successful music artists we know come from humble background and most of the music artists we know have a story of being supported by someone who just wanted them to grow, either by sponsoring their music or video production, investing in their life to enable them improve their living "the right environment brings the best of an individual.

In countries like Nigeria whose music we appreciate they have a lot of rich individuals who support their musical journals BUT when it comes to our country Uganda and particularly WestNile many of the music artists are undermined, exploited and not supported and they no choice but to find ways of how to make their ways I'm glad that many are now organizing concerts to better their lifestyle and it's only in WestNile that we don't see sponsors for events by companies like companies not even the local companies which is quiet difficult.

I'm grateful that the music artists in WestNile are now working together to support one another to organise successful concerts like Monopoly badcharacter JM Kennedy Sauti ya Simba A, Black Harmony (Arua) PYTHON and even the DJs are doing the same and it's us the people of WestNile and music lovers who have to support them.

This is on your way enroute Obongi district at Okuyo trading centre, Yumbe District Ariwa .
This pool of water has been here for more than 6months reason is there is channel for the water to drain and yet our responsible authorities will say they work on it routinely.
Today the youth and natives decided to create a channel for the water to flow.

In Arua, today many young people complain and blame others for having betrayed or stubbing them at the back, and most times they don't actually share the story RATHER they express their feeling on social media to me it's more like a publicity stunt.
And you realise that the persons they complain against are just acquaintances or they got involved in a business deal where they didn't even know the value but come to complain after the business is done.

We believe level of friendships are determined by time of the friendship (how long it has lasted), the motive or reason (why someone decided to have a relationship) of the friendship, how much you know of this person you think you are with, to mention but a few.

We would like to share a longterm, true and honest frienship we know about, these two are popular, famous (celebrities in Arua) for they have been in the entertainment and sports industry for a long time, supporting one another, YES they have hard misunderstanding or different thoughts BUT they have always watched the others back, MANY will not know this and their relationship has brought many different people to know another because of these two which we believe many people can learn from so that we stop this "how can my brother true friend disappoint me" and yet you really don't qualify as FRIENDS rather you are just HUSTLERS trying to make ends meet and you only complain when the other person has advantage over you because you only wish the good comes to you alone.

Every venture we choose to undertake demands dedication, hard work and above all discipline to enable us achieve the desired success.

The only renowned musical duo in WestNile are the example, the musical career is a side hustle to the two who are construction specialists (qualification) and I mean if you are looking at constricting your house you can award them the contract as support.

Their level of professionalism and passion at everything they do is amazing, they are a NOT wanna be celebs like many artists portray and they are an inspiration and a good example to future young generation and this might SURPRISE MANY BUT they don't do drugs like alcohol among others which surely is surprising to many but that shows how ADMIRABLE AND LIKEABLE they are, trust me if my child wants to do music in WestNile, I will pay for them to mentor him or her.

Their musical genius and success is eminent and they also the younger generation has a lot to learn from the older generation and they stretch their hands to those who need support their recent Robia walele song I believe was to give hope and courage to this cause of young and old generation and also giving to a brother

I encourage us to support them and I believe many artists can learn from them.
