UPDATE: Maize traders in Luweero have for the third time returned to PRO Industries Ltd, demanding payment of outstanding dues. The traders have parked their vehicles at the factory entrance, blocking trucks from entering or leaving the premises. They accuse the factory of repeatedly promising to clear the debt, but say the commitments have not been honoured. The factory’s managers are currently in discussions with police as tensions remain high.
