🚨 Vice President Jessica Alupo has issued a strong call for discipline, accountability, and zero tolerance for corruption, reaffirming Cabinet’s commitment to delivering results for Ugandans during the ongoing Ministers’ Induction Retreat at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi.
Addressing ministers and permanent secretaries, Alupo thanked President Yoweri Museveni for the confidence he placed in her and the newly constituted Cabinet, vowing that the government would not betray the trust entrusted to it by the people.
She congratulated the President on successfully forming the new Cabinet and pointed to the recent State of the Nation Address and National Budget Speech as key milestones that provide a clear roadmap for Uganda’s development agenda.
The Vice President described the 10-day induction programme as a crucial platform for equipping ministers with the knowledge and skills needed for effective leadership and service delivery, stressing that continuous learning remains essential in public office.
Alupo reaffirmed the government's commitment to implementing the National Development Plan and the 2026–2031 development framework, which aim to accelerate Uganda’s transition to upper middle-income status through sustainable economic growth.
In a firm warning against poor governance, she declared that there is no room for corruption, inefficiency, complacency, or delays in implementing government programmes and presidential directives. She said Cabinet is determined to ensure timely ex*****on of national priorities and accountability at all levels.
