Meet Senior Deus – One of Our Inspiring Beneficiaries!

Just a few rabbits have transformed his entire household.

“I’ve eaten 10, sold 15 rabbits, and used their manure in my garden—the yields are promising,” says Senior Deus with a smile.

Thanks to this simple project, he’s been able to:

Buy school books for all his children

Keep them in school

Provide food, soap, and jelly for his family

Improve the look and feel of his home

“Everything looks good at home now.”

This is the kind of change that happens when communities are empowered.

Clean water for all!

We're thrilled to share the impact of our rainwater harvesting project in Buzaniro village!

For years, the community here has spent 3-4 hours daily fetching water from distant sources. But thanks to the generosity of Impact AO from the USA and the implementation efforts of Go Organic Africa, we're changing that!

We've already constructed 60 rainwater harvesting systems, and we're excited to add 50 more!

These additional systems will bring the total to 110, providing even more families with access to clean water right at their doorsteps!

Meet Zerinda Hafashimana, a grateful beneficiary who's carried the weight of water scarcity for far too long. She's thankful to finally have access to clean water, and we're honored to be a part of her story!

In southwestern Uganda, approximately 40% of children are malnourished, particularly due to lack of protein. In Buzaniro, most families eat meat only once or twice a year and lack access to other sufficient sources of protein. When children do not get enough protein during their first 1,000 days, they can suffer cognitive damage that can never be regained.

Rabbits are an easy and inexpensive way to bring protein into the diet. One rabbit is the perfect quantity to feed a family of 6 with no need to refrigerate leftover meat. Rabbit was once part of the Ugandan diet, but nearly disappeared and is now resurging.

Go Organic Africa is implementing this wonderful project in Buzaniro by building a rabbit cage, and putting in rabbits as well as educating community about rabbit farming.
