INCIDENT REPORT: TWIC EAST V HOL AND ITS ALLIES (BOR COUNTY) IN NYUMANZI REFUGEES SETTLEMENT.

an altercation occurred yesterday evening in nyumanzi settlement involving members of Twic, hol, and bor.

The dispute was triggered by the circulation of a private photo of Ajuong girl that was exposed two days back in Juba by her boyfriend from hol Dinka, Duk County.

According to small information we gathered from eye witness's statement, The fight was first breaking out between Ajuong and hol youths,
Then youths from bor county turned up to defend hol. The involvement of bor youths forced Twic East youth to rallied behind Ajuong.

Using spears, bows and pangas, The fight led to 4 casualties from Twic East.
> Kongor: 1 injured
>pakeer: 1 injured
>Ajuong: 2 seriously injured (one with a broken arm, one stabbed with a spear).

The Situation is calm at present.
Community members are urgent to remain peaceful and avoid further escalation as local leaders and elders are expected to meet in the morning to discuss reconciliation 🤝 and next steps.

Abii community ( Awan) of Chuei-Keer payam is threatening to attack any convoy or motorcade of the commissioner of Bor County and that of the governor if they attempt to pass through Pariak to Abii payam for inauguration slated to be on Saturday 15 August 2026.

According to the ongoing live broadcast on Pesahiko media and other pages, some chiefs and youth leaders are so upset and fully prepared to halt the inauguration of Abii payam if their position isn't considered by the state government.

The problem emerged when the communities of the two payams are arguing over the ownership of the Abii name.

The community in Chuei-Keer payam is demanding for no payam to be named as Abii ,they want the name to be used for communities' identity in both payams. while the community in Abii payam wants the name for their payam, this is where deadlock comes in.

South Sudanese have launched a campaign to relocate the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan to Kakuma Refugee Camp to reduce costs, as it is constantly being kicked or locked out of its premises for non-payment of rent and utilities. “If Kakuma is good enough for our citizens, why not the embassy?” argue some proponents of the idea.

Ruweng government confirms attack on Dulanga farmlands, says nine killed

The Ruweng Administrative Area acting Information Minster, Monykuer Ngor has confirmed that armed youth from Leek of Rubkona County, Unity State, attacked Dulanga farmlands in Aliny County on Thursday, August 13, killing nine people and injuring two others.

The attack occurred at around 5:30 a.m., according to a statement from the Ruweng Ministry of Information.

Monykuer said Unity State authorities had alerted Ruweng shortly before the attack that armed youth were mobilizing toward the area. However, the attackers reportedly entered Ruweng territory and launched the assault several hours later.

The administration has called on the Unity State government to intervene immediately and ensure those responsible face justice.

The latest violence adds to growing tensions between communities in Ruweng and Unity State following the deadly Abiemnom attack in March.
