Koboko on the Move: From Safe Water to Clean Energy

Koboko District continues to shine as a model of progress and transformation in West Nile. From improved access to safe water, expansion of the electricity network, to better road infrastructure, the district is steadily moving toward a brighter, more connected future.

Today, 79% of villages in Koboko have access to safe and clean water — a major leap that has improved health, reduced waterborne diseases, and eased the burden on women and children who once walked long distances to fetch water.

In addition, Koboko is now fully connected to the national power grid, opening doors for small businesses, improved service delivery, and greater economic opportunities for residents. The 15 kilometers of newly tarmacked roads in the municipality have enhanced transport efficiency, boosted trade, and improved the town’s overall beauty.

This progress reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that no community is left behind in Uganda’s journey of transformation.

With each project completed, Koboko moves closer to its vision of inclusive growth and improved livelihoods for all.

NRM Flag Bearer Kyogabiirwe Jackie Muganda Cries Foul as Hon. Flavia Wins Over the Yellow Base in Kyegegwa

Tension is rising in Kyegegwa District after NRM flag bearer Kyogabiirwe Jackie Muganda accused incumbent Hon. Flavia Kabahenda Rwabuhoro, who is running as an Independent, of using NRM party colors, structures, and posters bearing the image of President Yoweri Museveni.

Speaking on Friday, 10th October, during the Kyegegwa flag bearers meeting at the District Headquarters, Kyogabiirwe expressed concern that the actions of her opponent are confusing voters and undermining her campaign.

“I am pleading with the NRM Secretariat to come to my rescue before everything completely falls apart,” she said.

Despite the tension, Hon. Flavia continues to enjoy significant grassroots support across the district, solidifying her influence ahead of the coming elections.
