I recently received a heartwarming Christmas message from Vicent, a vendor in Namawojjolo Market who supplies me with delicious chicken as I travel to Jinja for my activations and business trips.

This small gesture reminded me of the importance of personal connections in business. By taking the time to check in and show appreciation, Vicent has not only retained my loyalty but also earned my respect.

Let's not underestimate the power of a simple message or phone call to our clients and partners. It can make all the difference!

Kudos to Vicent for setting a great example! I'll definitely continue supporting him.

Do you remember our traditional Christmas then when gifts were wrapped in shabby chic brown paper and tied with string on a fir tree? And before Pinterest made our table displays look worthy of Home Interiors magazines? Do you my people remember when Christmas Day... was just a bit well crap? Not crap as in crap, crap. My Christmas day memories are some of the happiest times in my life. Crap as in it was a bit haphazard and simple and just well a lovely kinda crap. So here are the things I will miss most about Christmas now we are all modern and sh*t.

Decorations
The joy of non child friendly decorations. Bright glass baubles that were used year on year on year. They precariously hung there waiting to drop and smash. Maybe on a child's face.

Presents
I ask the kids of today to describe their best Christmas and it always inevitably involves an iPhone and a tablet. For us? ALL WE WANTED WAS A NICE BIG BIKE! YES! spiced with chicken, rice and a bottle of soda. Remember? Also presents came in sacks. I am quit sure some kids may say "well that sack looks like a bin bag but with Father Christmas's face on it". And they would be right.

Music
How beautiful it was seeing Bros singing Silent Night, today the kids twerk to crunk music on Christmas day. I really do miss beautiful Christmas music.

Next year, I will organise a traditional Christmas for myself.

We met in a corridor where you used to own a small barber shop, your hair cuts wowed me, I thought you were bigger than the corridor saloon, we created a strategy, thus the creation of Mart Barber Ug , we became big and are still growing. I am proud to be part of the growth of the brand Martbarber Uganda as it's brand manager and partner. Happy birthday Ka braza . Live to blow so many more candles.
