What can we create with our hands that cares for our future?

Through crochet, we’re exploring turning yarn into something useful while building skills, creativity and a sense of community.

We invite you to be part of this journey.

Share with someone who would love this, support the vision or simply take a moment to appreciate the beauty of creating with purpose.

Crochet and other co-curricular activities enhance children’s cognitive development; building focus, coordination and creativity beyond the classroom.

As the old adage goes, “It’s better to give someone a hook than to give them a fish.”, We believe in equipping children with skills to carry forward, rather than simply offer them finished products.

During a recent skills training workshop, facilitated by , we spent a couple of weeks with teenage mothers and out-of-school girls, guiding them how to use the , and other essential tools.

These workshops go beyond learning a skill: they are moments of shared experiences, heartfelt conversations and empowerment that comes from creating marketable products to generate income and build dignified livelihoods.

At IGACU, we believe it’s possible to create safe spaces where young women are embraced, guided and equipped to keep chasing after their dreams.

👉Partner with us, to continue reaching more teen mothers and out-of-school girls, reminding them that they are capable, creative and worthy of a second chance.
