Hon. Beatrice Atim Anywar Commissions New Boreholes at Kitgum Public Primary School*

Earlier today, Hon. Minister Beatrice Atim Anywar officially commissioned new boreholes at Kitgum Public Primary School. This follows a request made by the school management after the school suffered without a proper water supply for a long time.

The commissioning was warmly received by the school community. Present at the event were the Municipal Mayor, Mr. Okwera Richard Ojara, PTA members, teachers, parents, and pupils. The new boreholes will greatly improve hygiene and learning conditions at the school.

Gulu City Launches National Oktoberfest 2025
Gulu City officially launched the National Oktoberfest 2025 last week in Kampala. During the launch, His Lordship the Mayor of Gulu City, Alfred Okwonga, announced that the event is expected to attract international guests, including over 80 couples from Munich, Germany, and more than 50 couples from Australia. Visitors from other countries are also expected to join the celebration.

The Mayor’s emphasized that the Oktoberfest will not only celebrate culture but also promote investment, education, and environmental awareness in Northern Uganda.

Hon. Norbert Mao, who graced the event, pledged to be the “chief funs and moral booster” for the festivities. Madam Irene Adakun, General Manager of Bomah Hotel Limited, proudly stated that Gulu is the cleanest city in Uganda, with excellent hospitality, and ready to welcome international guests.

The launch was attended by the Minister of Tourism, development partners, Uganda Oil Company, and other stakeholders.
