✨ Field Visit Highlights! ✨
Today, we had an insightful visit to the Uganda Insurers Association (UIA) offices with Cohort 7 participants from our Social Business Accelerator Programme 💼🚀

This visit provided a powerful platform for our social entrepreneurs to share their success stories and reflect on the growth they've achieved during the programme. 🌱💬

This engagement builds on our ongoing partnership with , formed last year to promote financial inclusion through the Social Investment Fund (SIF) — an impact-driven initiative by Capital Solutions supporting enterprises led by women, youth, and refugees 👩🏾‍💼👨🏿‍🎓🧕🏽

💡 Through this partnership, we’ve provided:
✅ Low-cost financing
✅ Entrepreneurial capacity-building support

We’re proud to share that 7+ social entrepreneurs have already accessed the fund, enabling them to scale their businesses and amplify their social impact in communities across Uganda! 🌍❤️

Inclusive social entrepreneurship is at the heart of what we do!
We just wrapped up our first trainings under the Uganda Change Makers Initiative, reaching 100 young women in Metropolitan Kampala and Eastern Uganda 🎉

From brand building to business growth strategies, these changemakers gained hands-on tools to thrive in the circular economy and start social enterprises that solve real community challenges.

As part of our ongoing efforts to support and connect with our members, we recently conducted a field visit to Hatmahz Kitchen and Cafe. This social enterprise was founded by Hatmah Nalugwa Ssekaaya, a social entrepreneur in our Cohort 7 Social Business Accelerator Programme and a beneficiary of the Social Investment Fund (SIF).

Located in Entebbe-Seguku, Hatmah’s Kitchen is a leading example of food with purpose. Driven by Hatmah’s passion and vision, the enterprise serves up delicious local foods and nutritious, affordable meals each prepared with care, intention, and a commitment to food safety and inclusivity for all functions.

Field visits give us a firsthand experience of the meaningful impact our support creates and help us build stronger relationships with the social entrepreneurs we serve. They also provide crucial insights into their struggles, successes, and ambitions enabling us to better align our efforts with their needs.

🌟 Empowered and Thriving – WIGOI 2024 Alumni! 🌟

Watch as the incredible young women from the WIGOI 2024 Cohort share how this life-changing program has transformed their futures! 💪✨

Through the Women Income Generation Opportunities Initiative (WIGOI), these women have gained the skills and confidence to create opportunities for themselves and their communities. The impact speaks for itself:

✅ 70% have secured jobs across various sectors.
✅ 32% are now self-employed entrepreneurs.
✅ 94% successfully completed their training, unlocking paths to economic independence.

This powerful initiative, led by Siemens Stiftung in partnership with Capital Solutions, is equipping 100 young women—including persons with disabilities (PWDs) and refugees—with vocational skills and career development opportunities.
