COPIED AS IT IS!
Seemingly, match fixing is becoming the order of the day in Uganda's FUFA Big League (A point in place is Boma FC)?
Yesterday, Sunday 8th June 2025, I watched in despair at Masindi Boma ground where Boma FC was hosting Gaddafi FC. By 3:45pm, only 6 players from Boma FC (Patrick Mugume, Patrick Ssekitoleko, Trevor Ian Ookori, Shafik Kakeeto, Dean Katwesigye, and Frank Twesigye) were at the stadium for a 4:00pm kickoff - despite 14 players being registered in the FUFA system (The starting XI had Joeram Ogen in goal, Patrick Mugume as team captain, James Obwoya, Emmanuel Wabulo, Ali Ashraf, Patrick Ssekitoleko, Trevor Ian Ookori, Shafik Kakeeto, Dean Katwesigye, Frank Twesigye and Ibrahim Ekellot. Substitutes had; Ronald Bahati, Richard Afoyo, and John Bosco Sempijja).
Shockingly, a player named Moses Musisi was introduced as goalkeeper wearing the jersey of another player, even though he was not licensed. Boma FC, already relegated, fielded this ineligible player - but why? Was it for their own interest? The visiting Gaddafi
FC's interest, who are fighting for promotion? Or was this a planned fix involving referees and officials?
The irregularities didn't stop there. More unlicensed players appeared in the second half, disguised as junior team members; Jackson Wamani and Godfrey Wamani. Which junior team? Which league? How did the referees and 4th official allow this? Who fixed this game, and on whose orders? This situation calls for a serious investigation to protect the integrity of Ugandan football.
What are the real questions to answer ????
1. Where did the 14 players that appeared on BOOMA FC team sheet on the FUFA CMS come from if the players had not been camped?
2. Under what terms did the player MUSISI MOSES who once played for KIRYABNDONGO UTD and has never been licensed at BOOMA FC get playing time
3. Did the 4th official surely have proof of the players licenses, if yes , who did not do his job right?
4. Having sensed these gaps, why didn't the match assessor, take physical evidence of the team players for reference?
5. Was there deliberate conspiracy against the will of the 6 players who knew the game rules
6. Who stands accused? Players, officials, both teams or the custodians of the law on a match day
7. Why has the Fufa competitions department delayed to sanction Booma fc after their second failure to honor their fixtures?
8. Is the entire football governing body sleeping on the job? Seeing a non sponsored league sinking just in their eyes??
9. Boma FC did the same thing when they visited MYDA FC in Bukedea, they went only with 11 players to play against Onduparaka in Arua! Weren't these enough signals for FUFA (FUFA Big League) to discontinue the team in question? They reached Blacks Power home ground without the line up entered into the FUFA system even past the restricted timeline!
10. Who's sleeping on the job? Isn't a team like Boma capable of fixing games with such occurrence?!
