According to Mr. Israel Ochwo, Deputy Head of SH-ACU, the syndicate had fabricated documents for the supply of AD Blue solution, a chemical used to reduce motor vehicle emissions. Police in Kampala have arrested at least four members of the Uganda Young Democrats (UYD) led by their president emeritus Ismael Kirya as they attempted to march to the electoral commission offices on seventh street in protest against EC chairman Justice Simon Byabakama's failure to respond to their petition.

‎The group is accusing the EC chairman of turning a blind eye to their petition highlighting irregularities in the DP delegates' conference held in Mbarara which granted Justice Minister Nobert Mao another term as DP president.

‎These were intercepted by police and the military as they attempted to force their way into the EC premises.
