NRM Primaries Campaigns Suspended in Bungokho South After Fatal Accident

Mbale District NRM Chairman Wambogo Moses has announced the suspension of joint NRM primaries campaigns in Bungokho South constituency. The decision comes after a tragic accident happened in Burukuru, Bukiende Sub county involving a vehicle carrying a music system and supporters of Agnes Wazemwa Wabuyi, the aspiring Bungokho South MP.

The vehicle lost control and rammed into the bush, resulting in the deaths of two people, with many others sustaining injuries. The accident has shocked the whole constituency prompting Wambogo Moses to take action.

According to Wambogo, the campaigns in Bungokho South will not resume until candidates adhere to party guidelines. The suspension is a measure to ensure that all stakeholders prioritize the safety and well-being of supporters. The party leadership is working with authorities to investigate the accident and know what exactly happened.

MBALE: North Road Primary School's Stadium close to Completion.

North Road Primary School in Mbale is yet to commission its brand-new multipurpose stadium, which is nearing completion. Spearheaded by the renowned Emirates Dubai Sevens, this facility is set to become a hub for sports development in the region, with rugby taking center stage.

The stadium will feature two main playing fields: a rugby pitch and a netball court. While rugby and netball will be the primary sports, the facility will also occasionally host football matches. The stadium's design prioritizes functionality and comfort, with standard dressing rooms for both home and visiting teams, each equipped with washrooms.

The completion of the multipurpose stadium marks a new era for North Road Primary School. The facility is expected to foster a culture of sports excellence, encouraging students to develop their skills and passions in a supportive environment.

With the Emirates Dubai Sevens' involvement, the school is poised to become a hub for rugby development in the region. The new stadium is set to become a source of pride for the school, providing a platform for students to shine in various sports and activities.

North Road shall host Rugby and Netball tournaments with over 16 primary Schools ready to participate in rugby, 10 in netball and two secondary schools; Nkoma SS and Mbale SS to participate in netball.

MANAFWA: Meet Wanambwa Derick, a young vibrant Advocate, who has expressed interest in representing the people of Bubulo West Constituency in Manafwa District. He last week picked up nomination forms as part of the National Unity Platform internal process to run on the party flag ahead of 2026 General Election.

Wanambwa highlights out effective representation, uplifting the quality of health & education sectors, universal electricity circulation in remote areas among others as key issues to tackle out in his Constituency.

Wanambwa's motivation to joining the race for the position is derived from the dissatisfaction with National Resistance Movement - NRM leadership who he claims, blindly make harmful laws without consulting voters. He believes leaders should be good listeners as well as actors on ground and not being so much of โ€˜yes yesโ€™ to everything.

The burial shall take place today Monday 23rd June, 2025 at their ancestral home in Bukiiti B, Bukiiti Town Council, Sironko District.
