Teso Artists Left High and Dry at FEASSSA Games Opening: A Tale of Empty Promises and Broken Dreams
In a scene that could have been plucked straight from a tragicomedy, Teso's finest musicians found themselves the punchline of a cruel joke during the East African Games in Bukedea. What was supposed to be a day of pride and performance quickly spiraled into a saga of disappointment and disdain, as the artists were left stranded, hungry, and humiliated, all thanks to a shadowy figure named Polycarp.
The tale begins with the enigmatic call from Polycarp, who, like a puppeteer, pulled the strings that brought together Teso's musical gems—Vipa Teso Mafa, Rody Gavana, Tyra Nana, Cannis Odd, and Yona Chan Lee. Despite their growing discomfort, the artists took to the stage, pouring their hearts into their performances, only to be met with silence in return. As the cheers of the crowd faded, so too did the artists' hopes. They were led to a classroom block—not to dine with the stars, but to huddle together in confusion, wondering what had gone wrong.
As darkness fell, so did their spirits. The artists, once brimming with dreams of stardom, found themselves abandoned, with only the dim hope that someone, anyone, would come to their rescue. Enter Panadol, an unknown MP, who arrived like a last-minute aspirin, offering not the silver plate of promises...
