A photo circulating on social media showed the sad state of one of the most powerful men who ruled alongside the richest president of Zaire, now Democratic Republic of Congo.

The man identified as Mutombo Kalombo, reportedly was seen begging for money on the streets of Kinshasa around 2020-2023. Reports indicate he fell into extreme hardship years after the 1997 collapse of Mobutu’s regime.
