A primary three pupil of St Daniel Nursery and Primary school Yumbe has been knocked dead and two other pupils injured by a speeding vehicle this morning near Oil well Petrol station in Yumbe Town

Bobi Wine who is set to address his supporters at Geya Ps later on at 2pm will first travel to Barakala Town council where he will officially open the office and sign

According to reports he will use Lodonga _Odravu_lomunga road to reach Barakala Town council

The government on Thursday, November 20, 2025, announced an increase in the Social Assistance Grant for Empowerment (SAGE) for older persons, raising the monthly payment from sh25,000 to sh35,000 and lowering the eligibility age from 80 to 65 years

State minster for gender labour and social development in August this year visited some of the beneficiaries of the project in Yumbe District to access the impact of the program and how it has benefited the older persons ,one of the challenge raised was the low pay couple to the current economic challenges and the beneficiaries requested the government to increase the pay
