A full story on the abuses of Venterra Realty against those who are disabled and/or low income is coming shortly. They refused to make these issues right, so we will be exposing their abuse.

A clergyperson who supports our work is currently being discriminated against and abused by their apartment complex. Venterra Realty has made allowances for Federal Employees who are furloughed, but are not helping those on Social Security and Disability who are not being paid the money they paid into the system. The office managers who they spoke to in Texas told them it was not important and they did not care. This is people's lives. On top of that Venterra has opted to up their rent $600 a month starting in August. Those who are on fixed incomes will now have to live on the streets as housing assistance in the Houston/Harris County and surrounding areas have as much as 40 year waiting list for assistance. This is unconscionable and we as people of faith must stand up against this kind of exploitation. Please share this far and wide and help stop these abuses. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Ontario needs to investigate these abusive practices by a Canadian company taking advantage of United States citizens who are already suffering.

Halocarbon employee advocates for killing protesters

Local Halocarbon employee advocates for killing protesters from the protest. He also posted about having a local Old Catholic Bishop and his family deported for exercising their constitutional rights. Halocarbon has refused to address the issue leaving individuals to believe that they support this behavior.

On June 14, 2025, one of the largest protests in United States history was held all across the country. In Aiken South Carolina and Augusta Georgia protesters came out in large numbers. They peacefully protested the Trump administration’s policies on immigration and military action in US cities.

The U.S. Marine Corps fails to uphold their oath to protect and defend the constitution as they approve of 3 Marines who breached the capitol with the intent to overthrow the government on January 6th. NPR reports the details of the biased and supportive panel’s ruling:

A Marine and his buddies joined the mob that entered the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. They were not the only Marines there.

Our earlier post about the North Augusta 20/20 Facebook Group has been updated with new information about the retaliation against Luna Godsey and the lack of response from The Episcopal Church, the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia, Bishop Frank Logue, and the Episcopal Day School in Augusta, Georgia.

Social media today can be a place to make friendly connections and to help others with finding a new local hangout. However, when social media turns ugly, the real-world consequences can be life changing.

Rarely am I called on to write for anything outside my work with the church or my social justice work. However, when my daughter comes to me in the middle of the night upset that she is receiving the kind of messages and replies on Facebook that you see below, I cannot help but to speak up.

USC Aiken is back in the spotlight as document is revealed that shows a systematic disregard for student safety, ADA discrimination, and sexual assaults. Representative Bill Hixon and Senator Shane Massey were sent the document today.
