The Oak
Dearest Atlantia,
Over the past three years, it has been my honor to be the Editor for The Oak and to get to be a part of this incredible publication. As my time draws to a close as its Editor, I am thankful for the diversity and depth of learning and exploration that The Oak has to offer and for all the artisans I have had the privilege of working with over the past three years. We have seen The Oak grow from an empty website to almost 100 articles, covering a huge array of topics, and it's only growing from there.
The arts and sciences community in our kingdom is one of breadth and beauty. The Oak has since its re-inception aimed to be a place where any art, any science, can be celebrated and I look forward to seeing it continue under my successor. Lady Meriorie Matheson has been instrumental over the last three years in getting our social media presence engaged and off the ground to keep The Oak front and center in our e-SCA minds. I have complete confidence in her ability to continue the wonderful work of The Oak as your next Editor.
Thank you for the opportunity to share in your A&S and I encourage all artisans who are even a little bit curious about our publication to contact The Oak to see what it's all about. Thank you as well to my editorial team, my deputies, and everyone who made The Oak possible. It has been an honor and a privilege.
Yours in service and in A&S,
Dama Mariana Ruiz de Medina
Editor of The Oak
