I’m still not sure what he really wanted. Any tips out there? ❤️ Being a dad will really exposes how much you don’t know. When Jay was born I committed to staying calm and not getting frustrated because of crying, because crying is really one of the only ways babies can communicate when they’re little. We try to teach them ways to communicate whether that be signs or words to express themselves. But when they don’t have the signs or words to express themselves it can be frustrating for them and confusing for us. I’ve learned that staying calm will usually lead me to find the answer. And, that my wife can usually find the answer quicker than I.

My mind has been FULL of thoughts. Thinking through decisions that feel bigger than me, what the next few years are going to look like for our family, and how I’m going to lead us in the right way. Young parents tend to over stress about things that don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things and underestimate the value of little things. I’m working on that. Slowing down as a family helps me slow down the stress and dial in on hope. There’s that as a reminder to yourself. You go! Love my babies! Love for being so thoughtful of me. I don’t believe anyone is perfect but I think she’s perfect for me.

I finally found what made him happy. I was so confused! And this am he was having a hard time communicating. Sometimes I have no idea what he needs or why he’s sad, so I try to stay calm and think about what he’s needed in the past. Today, it was a cuddle with mom and a donut. We had a good morning, got some haircuts, and no we’re on our way to play. I love my time off with this boy.

I finally found what made him happy. I was so confused! And this am he was having a hard time communicating. Sometimes I have no idea what he needs or why he’s sad, so I try to stay calm and think about what he’s needed in the past. Today, it was a cuddle with mom and a donut.
