Down in the heart of Jack, Alabama — past red dirt roads and deep family roots — you’ll find a school that’s more than just classrooms and textbooks. At Zion Chapel School, students aren’t just taught. They’re known. They’re cared for.
This is a place where tradition still means something, where showing up, working hard and doing things the right way matter. And no matter where a student comes from or where they’re headed, they’ve got a place here — and people who believe in them.
This past year, you could feel Rebel pride everywhere. In the classroom. On stage. Out on the field. Our students rose to the moment time and time again — pushing themselves, supporting each other, and making their mark in ways big and small.
In the fall, the football team brought a different kind of energy. Week by week, they found their rhythm — playing with heart, grit, and a chip on their shoulder. It all came together in a playoff run that had been a long time coming. With leaders stepping up and the stands packed with a community that never misses a game, those Friday nights hit different. You could just tell — something good was starting to build.
And then spring delivered a moment we’ll never forget.
The Lady Rebels softball team caught fire and never looked back — charging through the postseason and bringing home Zion Chapel’s first-ever AHSAA Class 2A State Championship. They went a perfect 4-0 in the State Tournament, but it wasn’t just the record that stood out. It was the grit. The togetherness. The heart. That championship didn’t just belong to them — it belonged to the whole community.
Baseball had a season to be proud of, too. They earned their spot in the playoffs and showed just how far the program has come. With a tight-knit group, strong leadership, and a bench full of rising talent, there’s no question — Zion Chapel Baseball is building something special.
And let’s not forget about Cross Country. Year after year, they set the tone with quiet discipline and big results. State qualifiers, college scholarships — this team proves that consistent effort and character still go a long way.
Volleyball brought energy to the court. Every serve, every point — it all added up to a season full of growth and momentum. These girls played for each other, and it showed. They’ve laid a strong foundation for what’s ahead.
Both boys and girls basketball teams poured everything they had into the season. You saw it in every drill at practice and every possession on game day. Grit. Hustle. Teamwork. They wore “Zion Chapel” across their chests with pride, and they left it all on the floor.
Behind the scenes, our facilities are rising right along with our programs.
The new gym gives our basketball and volleyball teams a space that feels built for something big. New coaching staffs have brought new energy, and expectations are sky-high. The future’s looking strong.
And out at the diamond, baseball and softball players are now training in a brand-new indoor hitting facility — a real game-changer. Add in upgraded stadiums, and suddenly, home games feel like something out of a movie. Honestly, for a small community, we’re playing on some of the best setups in the state.
Our cheerleaders kept that Rebel spirit loud and clear, too. At summer camp, varsity brought home the “Most Energetic Squad” award and were named Overall Spirit Routine Champions. JV earned “Most Coachable.” That’s not just about talent — that’s about heart.
And the band? As always, they showed up and showed out. From the Marching Rebel Band lighting up Friday nights to the Symphonic Band earning top scores in competition, they continue to bring soul, pride, and precision to everything they do.
But at Zion Chapel, it’s never just about trophies or scoreboards. It’s about preparing students for what comes next — college, careers, and life.
We earned a 93 on the Alabama State Report Card — one of the best in the region. But the real win? Students who are ready to succeed. Dual enrollment. Career tech. Honors courses. It’s all here. But what makes the biggest difference? Teachers who refuse to let any student fall through the cracks.
Just look at the Robotics Team — top 25 in the Southeast at the B.E.S.T. Regional. Or Mrs. Braisted, who was named Southeast Regional Teacher of the Year. That’s not luck — that’s commitment.
FFA continues to make an impact, too. One of their latest projects? Building a bus shelter for a student with disabilities. That’s the kind of leadership that changes lives.
At Zion Chapel, students grow in knowledge, sure. But they also grow in confidence, in leadership, in faith, and in character. They’re surrounded by a village of coaches, teachers, staff, parents, and neighbors who keep showing up — because that’s what families do.
You can’t measure the heart of a school with, sports scores, test results or stat sheets.
You feel it.
You feel it when the band strikes up on a Friday night.
You feel it when you stand to clap with Dixie.
You feel it when a student gets that college acceptance letter.
You feel it when a teacher stays late to help one more kid.
You feel it in the way alumni come back, not because they have to — but because they want to.
You feel it in the silence of a classroom where a student is finally focused — and in the celebration when they pass that test they didn’t think they could.
You feel it in every “good luck,” every “I’m proud of you,” and every “you’ve got this.”
You feel it here — every single day.
Because Zion Chapel? It’s not just a school.
It’s home.
It’s family.
And it’s the most special place on God’s green Earth.
And this year… something’s stirring.
The best is yet to come.
Let’s go, Rebels. Amen.
