Cantwell said he is hopeful of the F-16 squadron from Hill Air Force Base move to Holloman and is ready to start training F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots. He said the new squadron would mean more jobs for military personnel at Holloman and having pride that the base will train future pilots during the U.S. Air Force’s fighter pilot shortage.

Holloman celebrates 10 years of the Big Give

Over the course of a decade, the Big Give has seen 200 projects completed in the Tularosa Basin. In 2016, 32 teams made up of 412 volunteers worked 4,997 hours over the span of three weeks and saved the community an estimated $202,000.

Over a decade, the Big Give has saved Otero County $1.8 million in community service projects.
