Did you know that drumlines originally started as military field signals? Soldiers used drum patterns to communicate commands across noisy battlefields. Today, drumline has evolved into one of the most electrifying forms of musical performance!

Welcome to the world of home recording : a fantastic summer activity that combines music, tech, and creativity! Here's a simple starter guide for your young musician:

📱 WHAT YOU NEED:
• Smartphone or tablet (you already have this!)
• A simple recording app (Voice Memos, BandLab, or GarageBand are great)
• Your piano or keyboard
• A quiet room (close the curtains and turn off the TV!)

🎤 STEP 1: Record a short melody or song they've learned
🎤 STEP 2: Hit play and listen back : what do they notice?

Bring the magic of music into your kitchen! 🥛🎶✨

Looking for a fun, hands-on way to teach your kids about pitch and sound waves? Try making a DIY Glass Jar Marimba at home! It’s a simple STEM-meets-music activity that the whole family will love.

Here’s how to do it:
1️⃣ Get 5-7 glass jars of the same size.
2️⃣ Fill them with different amounts of water (from a little to a lot).
3️⃣ Tap each jar gently with a wooden spoon.
4️⃣ Notice how the jars with more water sound lower, while the ones with less sound higher! 🎼

This simple experiment helps kids understand how vibrations create different musical notes. Plus, they can try playing simple songs like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"!

🕐 9:00 AM : Wake up, stretch, and hum the melody from last week's lesson
🕐 9:30 AM : Quick 10-minute practice session with the Kool Keys app (gamified exercises = fun!)
🕐 11:00 AM : Head to Klassix Muzix Academy for group class with friends
🕐 11:30 AM : Warm-up games, then diving into a new song from the Piano Express book
🕐 12:15 PM : "Toy Concert" : students perform for their stuffed animal audience (builds confidence!)
🕐 12:30 PM : Class wrap-up, high-fives, and a challenge for the week
🕐 3:00 PM : Beach, pool, playground : because summer is still about FUN! 🌊
