Saint Rose prides itself in having a diverse student body; however, this diversity is not adequately represented within student organizations, including The Chronicle. The Chronicle welcomes all students with open arms and will always strive to use our platform as a place for public comment and criticism and to amplify the voices and perspectives of those in our community. Please contact us with any feedback, ideas for future stories, or if you'd like to join our team of writers. We are here to serve you.

We are elated to announce that The Chronicle has received the accolade for 2019-2020 Student Association Organization of the Year.

The Chronicle serves an important campus function, and we aimed to show that in our work throughout the course of this academic year. It is a central tenet of journalism that newspapers should provide a place for comment, criticism, and well-evidenced fact. The Chronicle is grateful to have the support of the Association in providing that function for the students and faculty at the College, in addition to the wonderfully vibrant Pine Hills neighborhood.

The paper is proud to be inclusive of all views and welcomes all perspectives in order to carry on this great tradition of truth-seeking.

Its 4th quarter here in our game to save NY from Democratic Socialism. We have been behind all this time with our failing republican safe plays. We need an exciting new game plan and new minority leader voice. We need David DiPietro's voice in that position. But NY Republican leadership wont try something new unless YOU SPEAK UP. Heres your chance. TODAY they will vote once again for a safe 5 yard pass when we need the long 30 yard pass to David Dipietro. Unless YOU Share and Email this morning we could see another Yes Man, another Safe Bet, another RINO get elected to the minority leader spot. please consider sharing/emailing this morning before the vote to replace Brian Kolb. Hello. As one of most republican constituents so long frustrated and disappointed with the long standing republican leadership i implore you all not to once again choose to do follow the same old failing gameplan. Please stop playing it safe with your actions and throw for 5 yards when you need 20. Give the ball to a new player David DiPietro. Someone like Barclay or another middle of the road player wont go the distance we need to succeed. David is of the highest morals and most patriotic statesmen you can elect to the minority leader spot. Picking another "safe bet" or "RINO" will only perpetuate the republican loses in Albany. Please dont continue our losing representation whith the short play at this point in Albany when we need the exciting long pass. With DiPietro you can bring the faith, trust, tenacity, and patriotism back to NY's republican constituency that your longstanding "safe plan" has lost. We need fresh new leadership. Vote for David DiPietro for Brian Kolb's Minority Leader Post. Thank you. As musicians and people, we were young and "finding our way". Tony was our musical sherpa in those days. We were all, together, discovering the possibilities. It was only fitting that Tony, through his professorial involvement in formal education, became a lifelong musical sherpa to many and touched the lives of countless scores (see what I did there?) of young (and old) music lovers on their journey(s). I have a secret ... Tony is not gone ... he is living with me. Every.time.I.pick.up.an.instrument. Now, whenever I sit down to write, I hear his words from a discussion I had with him back in 1976 when I posed the question "when we get around to writing our own material, what form would you like it to take?" Without hesitation, his reply to me was "Weather Report ... with great vocals and cool harmonies". Those words have refocused me ... to why I got involved in music in the first place ... pure love of something. For many years, I have written songs with the end goal of pleasing an audience. For the past few years, I have gotten back to writing for an audience of one. The possibility that there may be other "ones" out there that may appreciate my attempts I now view as a bonus, not a prerequisite. Tony Sano has not passed. He continues to manifest himself in the lives and hearts of everyone he has selflessly guided throughout his years on the planet...and those they touch. Please stop, do the math, and consider the magnitude of that statement. Thank you, my sherpa and friend, for continuing to show us the way. I have been blessed in knowing you. Much love, peace, laughter, and gratitude - TJ (NOTE: Tony taught classical guitar at St. Rose)
Come on over to the Sanctuary in a little while. Food, music, craft makings, .... Treat yourself to a little holiday break.
