Truth? I don’t always make myself a priority.
Sometimes I slide to the bottom of my own list—behind work, family, the dog, you name it.

But I'm learning (the hard way, of course) that when I ignore my own wellness, everything feels harder.
I get snappy, tired, disconnected from the version of me I actually like being.

So I’ve been working—imperfectly—on putting my health higher on the list.
Not to chase perfection or a pant size… but because I want to feel good in my skin.
I want to wake up with energy and feel good all day long.

It’s not always easy. But I’m showing up. For me.

And that feels like a small kind of freedom.

For most of my life, I treated health and wellness like a destination. Like one day I’d arrive, the scale would read a magic number, and everything would be great and I'd feel “done.”

But the truth is, it’s not a finish line. It’s a journey — one that’s always evolving, just like we are.

Lately, I’ve stopped chasing the number and started chasing how I feel: energized, free and at home in my body.

And honestly? That feels like real progress.

I am a 47 year old working mom to two boys that has been happily married for 28 years. I have struggled with weight loss just like so many busy women I know but I am putting those struggles behind me. When I'm not working on getting and staying healthy, I enjoy many outdoor activities including riding my Suzuki 450 quad on the Oregon Dunes, RVing with my family and riding my Harley Davidson motorcycle.
