❤️⏳ After sharing a lifetime together, they finally said, "I do."
José Manuel Riella and Martina López of Paraguay had been partners in life for nearly 80 years before officially becoming husband and wife.
Their love story began in 1933. Together, they raised eight children and built a family that grew to include dozens of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Yet despite spending almost their entire lives side by side, they had never formally married.
Then, in 2013, their children asked them a simple question:
"What are you waiting for?"
That question changed everything.
On October 15, 2013, José, 103, and Martina, 99, exchanged vows in a Catholic ceremony held in the garden of their home. Martina wore a white wedding dress adorned with flowers, while José, smiling from his wheelchair, sat beside the woman he had loved for decades.
Surrounded by generations of family, they exchanged rings and officially began a marriage that, in their hearts, had already lasted a lifetime.
đź’Ť Nearly 80 years of love.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A family spanning generations.
❤️ Proof that it's never too late to celebrate love.
Their story is a reminder that love doesn't follow a timeline—and some of life's most beautiful moments are worth waiting for.
