Day 8: Meet Kayela!

Kayela Statom- Tennessee is home, but Kayela moved to Upstate NY (Troy) in the fall of 2017. Kayela graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a minor in Theatre. She currently is the 4-H and Adult Agriculture Extension Educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County. In her free time, Kayela enjoys theatre (watching and performing), teaching Zumba, and getting outside whenever she gets the chance.

JeShaun Jackson is a Junior BFA Musical Theatre Major at Northern Kentucky University. He was recently seen as Revita Glory, Jefferson Glory, and Darnell Nusspickle in the touring production of Church Girls:The Musical. His NKU credits include: Wyatt Frost (Originated) in The Black Boy in Pink! , Bobby/Kit Kat Dancer in Cabaret,Dr.Ehrin,Pastor Bruno, and Officer Kowalski in Freaky Friday:The Musical, James Hewlett in The African Company Presents: Richard III,and a Company Dancer in Dance 20’. Jaelyn Raiford is a Michigan based actor actively pursuing a career in Musical Theatre. Jaelyn has received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music at Grand Valley State University and has performed in numerous productions at the University, as well as in the Grand Rapids community. Donnie Williams (he,him,his) is a QPOC from Milwaukee, Wi. He is a graduate from Cardinal Stritch University with a double major in Theater and Communications. Donnie’s passion is Theater. Whether it’s performing, writing, singing, or directing as long as it’s artistic and creative, Donnie cannot keep his hands off of it. Donnie fantasizes about being a princess who lives in a red castle and who has magical powers but doesn’t know how to use them. Later on in the story, the princess finds out that love is the greatest power of all. Recently, he relocated to Chicago, IL where he hopes to continue the fight for social justice and change.

Hi I’m Chloé Mimms I am here to entertain you. Whether it be through my voice or backstage making a costume my goal is giving you a eye and ear-gasm like never before. I am aspiring actress and costume maker but by career degree I am a chemist graduate with a BS in chemistry 2014. Although I have an extreme love for science but the theatrical arts in my true passion. It allows me to escape into a world of make believe. Most of my skills in the arts are self taught. I have allowed myself to dabble in all areas of the arts. I make costumes, do both glamour and sfx makeup, as well as act, sing, and dance. My ultimate goal in life is to work on Broadway 🎭

Terry is an Atlanta/ Orlando based actor. Some of his notable stage credits include: Archibald Craven (The Secret Garden), Herr Schultz (Cabaret), Rapunzel's Prince (Into the Woods), and Armado (Love's Labour's Lost - Musical). Before the Entertainment industry was put on hold, you could find him walking down the middle of Main Street USA with The Dapper Dans of Walt Disney World, which was a huge dream come true.

One of the goals he has for himself is to work internationally. Possibly with the Walt Disney company, but he’d love to be part of an international touring company of a musical.

He is best known for his roles as “Detective Ariel” in the critically acclaimed stage play “The Pillowman”, and as “The main killer” in the award winning late night dinner show “Marriage Can Be Murder”, during the 2017 Christmas show run. He is also set to appear in short film “To Kill A Cop”, releasing 2021. Angelina “Angie” Castro (@angie.cas.got.sass on Instagram) is a NY based actress, dancer, choreographer & marketing coordinator. She originally hails from NYC and found a second home in the Capital Region upon graduating college in the area.

To her, dance and movement is a form of therapy. As someone who has a lot of energy, dance gives her a way to channel it & express what’s within - without using words. Once the pandemic passes, she would love to continue choreographing with others and return to the stage (or screen) in some capacity. My name is Monica Martinez, but everyone knows me as “La Garland”. I am Mexican and live in Mexico City, Mexico.
I have done some plays and Musicals such as The Little Mermaid, What’s wrong with angry and Fat Pig but I spend most of my time teaching drama and voice.
