The construction community and the Denver Broncos organization are mourning the tragic loss of 31-year-old Sven Johnson, who was identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office following a fatal accident at the team's new training facility site. The incident occurred on the evening of June 15, 2026, when co-workers discovered Johnson unresponsive within a confined ceiling area of the construction project in Centennial, Colorado. Despite immediate efforts by South Metro Fire Rescue crews, who utilized specialized equipment to access the area, Johnson was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. In the wake of the accident, lead contractor Turner Construction Co. suspended all work on the project to fully cooperate with an ongoing investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and local authorities to determine the specific cause and circumstances surrounding his passing.
