So I was outside just looking at all of my retained doelings and I realized I kept too many. So now I’m trying to decide who to list….. note to future self don’t stop counting your retained kids and have self control!

That pretty white face is now yellow, he smells bad enough to knock you over from a mile away, and yet he STILL stands there begging me to love on him like he hasn’t spent all day peeing on himself. 🤢😭

BIG COOKIE PRETTY PENNY

Penny is one of those does that reminds me why I love watching young does mature. I really appreciate her length of body, long clean neck, femininity, and the smoothness and balance she carries throughout.
She’s not a finished doe yet and that’s what makes her exciting. 🤎 I’m looking forward to seeing what another freshening does for her.

Franklin update! So it’s been 8 weeks since received a blood transfusion at Auburn large animal hospital. I can see a big improvement in his body condition and he is actually still in the barn in a stall because rut has started and I don’t want him to put too much energy in fighting with the boys. He is still Immature, but the difference from July is amazing. By the way I’m not touching him! He has cologne everywhere and he loves to rub it all over me.

BAMA REDBIRD COCO (Siren)

This girl has really become one of the does I appreciate more and more as she matures. She has so much body capacity and strength while still maintaining that dairy character I want in my herd. Her mammary has continued to develop beautifully into her second freshening, with a strong medial, good capacity, and an udder that has held up well through lactation.

3rd breeding done! ✅
So much for waiting for October….. Brookie has now completed his job in round 1 breeding. Hopefully everyone is bred and we will have babies in February. Sage & Coco (siren) will have babies on the same day probably, but that’s okay. 4 more to go and then round 2 starts.

Latte Nigerians farm Sage was flagging her tail while I was milking… (for none goat people this means she is ready to breed) She last kidded in October, so why not have some more Sage babies… I was planning to wait until October to start breeding, but I bred Annie 4 days ago and then when I saw this I thought let’s go for it. I will be watching for her to come back in heat 9/22-9/25. 🤞this is a one and done. 😂
