Here are some points about infertility:
Infertility is not solely caused by factors related to the woman. Approximately 40% of the causes can be attributed to the husband, 40% to the wife, and the remaining portion results from a combination of factors from both partners. Therefore, infertility is often a shared issue between a couple, rather than being solely the wife's or husband's problem.
Common causes of male infertility may include:
👉 No s***m production
👉 Low s***m count
👉 Weak s***m motility
👉 Abnormal s***m morphology
Common causes of female infertility include:
👉 Blocked fallopian tubes
👉 Irregular or absent ovulation
👉 Conditions such as endometriosis or uterine fibroids
Currently, worldwide statistics show an increasing trend in infertility rates. This could be due to several reasons, such as:
👉 Women marrying and starting families later in life
👉 A decline in male s***m quality, possibly due to environmental factors and living conditions
👉 The rise of sexually transmitted diseases that can lead to conditions like blocked fallopian tubes, lower s***m quality, and fertility disorders
👉 Early sexual activity and multiple sexual partners, which increase the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases and can lead to infertility
👉 Long-term complications of abortion, which can result in infertility for many women
👉 Obesity can also contribute to female infertility, as excessive weight can lead to irregular ovulation and reduced chances of conceiving. Obesity does not significantly impact male fertility.
Couples in their reproductive years who have regular in*******se (3-4 times a week) without using contraception for one year (or six months if the woman is over 35) without achieving pregnancy may consider seeking medical evaluation for infertility.
Infertility affects both men and women equally, so both partners should undergo a comprehensive evaluation. The ideal time for women to seek evaluation is typically on the 4th or 5th day of their menstrual cycle. It's advisable to abstain from in*******se for 3 to 5 days before the evaluation.
