This is about the most important thing to remember when you’re daytripping with dogs. It is especially important in the high deserts and mountains of NM—even on a perfect weather day like Sunday! ⛰️ 🌶️ 🏜️
Sometimes, on a genuine, longer road trip, these two do not want to drink, but mostly on a day trip, we can keep them properly hydrated.

I’m sorry to say, this wasn’t wishful thinking on Nelly’s and Nero’s part—there really was a lizard in the shrubs and they killed it. 🙈 Mom saves the ones up on the wall that she can (she saves the vinegaroons and snakes too) but if they’re in the shrubs, there’s not much she can do. 🤷‍♀️

Outback today…it was one of the pretty NM whiptails with the pretty blue accents…🦎
