Media Fellows Program:
The Washington Media Scholars Foundation recognizes enthusiastic and qualified students by awarding up to $50,000 in scholarships to several undergraduates each academic year. These grants support the academic development of upperclassmen dedicated to pursuing a career related to the public policy advertising industry.

Media Plan Case Competition-
The Qualifying Round
November 30, 2016 - February 13, 2017
The top 20% of qualification round entries — a maximum of 30 teams — will be invited to participate in the 2017 Media Plan Case Competition. Of the 30 teams, six will be chosen to compete in Washington, DC for the National Excellence in Media Award and $16,000 in scholarships.
February 27 - March 29, 2017
Teams of two have four weeks to create a strategic media plan based on a hypothetical special election referendum or public policy issue.
June 3-9, 2017: Media Scholars Week-
The six finalist teams from the Washington Media Plan Case Competition travel to Washington, DC to participate in Media Scholars Week. Expenses are covered by the Washington Media Scholars Foundation. Previously, Media Scholars have met with professionals from the Wall Street Journal, CNN, Politico, Time Warner Cable and Gannett Broadcasting.
June 8, 2017: Networking Reception-
The winning team receives approximately $5,000 per person in scholarship awards. Additionally, winners receive the National Excellence in Media Award to be presented at a networking reception held at the Newseum. The first runner-up team receives approximately $3,000 per person in scholarship awards.
