Headlines for the Hopeful

Headlines for the Hopeful A digital news service spotlighting unique and innovative efforts by individuals and organizations working to create a better future.

Our current media landscape focuses too heavily on crime, terror, and everything else that’s “wrong” with the world. We think it’s time to focus on what people are doing to help make it right. Our generation is becoming increasingly concerned with the welfare of the planet and those who live on it, but it’s not always easy for us to track down the meaningful stories we want to share with our audience. That's what inspired us to create a platform that brings these stories together in one place and gives people the ability to own the content itself. They can embed the stories on their own websites, blogs, and social media pages to drive that traffic home. Our belief is there is a strong demand for accurate information about the ways in which we can positively affect the lives of others and improve the welfare of our planet. Hopefully, we’re right—please help us prove it.

Mission: Our mission is to inform our audience about the innovative ways that people and organizations are addressing issues like poverty, climate change, hunger, human rights, healthcare, wildlife, and more.

The more we think about it, the more we think that perhaps we could be a hub, joining nonprofits together as part of it, teaching at risk kids about journalism and social media while myself and perhaps a team would help, nonprofits and brands and socially conscious companies tell their social good stories, managing social media, conduct media outreach, figure out social good story campaigns, branding, and more. Would people be into this?

Hey guys, we see you liking us every day, even with no new content in 8 months, and we don't want to give up. We're trying to find ways to bring this back to life—as a nonprofit, as a for-profit with a nonprofit educational arm. We need this meaningful, social good news site out there for young people to read, young people who are part of the next generation of change makers, or everyday people who just want to read about meaningful good news to restore their faith in the world. If you have ideas, if you want to get involved, let us know.

Hey fans! We haven't posted in about 8 months, but we've noticed that you've been liking our page, our posts, or just coming in for a visit more and more frequently. As with many media start-ups, we just couldn't figure out how to get funded to stay sustainable, but we'd love to hear from you if you have any ideas!
