BRT design altered to allow full access to Fordson Road

The next public meeting on the Richmond Highway BRT meeting was scheduled for May, but it's cancelled now. However FCDOT said last week that a design has been picked for Fordson Road, and that station prototypes are in the works.

The preliminary design for the Richmond Highway BRT project now has Fordson Road accessible from both northbound and southbound Richmond Highway.

A 23-year-old Fort Belvoir resident is accused of filming men in the bathrooms of the Route 1 Home Depot and the one in Springfield. Police say they are still trying to locate many of the victims.

An Inova representative said during Friday's Lee District town hall that the hospital system has enough bed space for an expected surge in coronavirus hospitalizations. Some supplies remain low however, including those needed for testing.
