Finding Light When Life Feels Like a Tunnel

🥺Sometimes we feel like life is a walk through a tunnel; dark and confusing. We keep moving forward, hoping to see the light, but the road often feels longer than we imagined.

😓There are days when our faith is tested and the world around us feels uncertain. Our families and even our two countries are currently going through hard times, and it’s easy to wonder if things will ever get better.

✨But what we’ve learned is this: God’s light isn’t just waiting at the end; it shines even while we’re still inside the tunnel.

♥️God’s love shows up in the little things; a shared laugh as a couple, a small moment of peace and simple quality time as family, like in these pictures. Nothing fancy. And when love is built on Him, it has a way of standing strong even when everything else feels shaky.

🙏🏽That’s what our story keeps teaching us. Through every challenge, God’s love has carried us, shaped us, and helped us find joy and peace even when life doesn’t make sense.

🫵🏽So if you’re in a hard season; waiting, healing, financial breakthrough, or just holding on, remember this: God has not forgotten about you. The tunnel won’t last forever, and God’s light will always find you.

Now that I’m a mom, I see with new eyes the love, sacrifices, and prayers my own parents poured into me.

When my mom passed away, my dad stepped in with courage, even though he wasn’t perfect. Through his flaws, he loved us deeply and raised us with dedication, and I know God guided him every step of the way.

Later, God blessed us with a wonderful stepmom who has also loved me and my sisters as her own.

Today, as I raise my daughter, I’m reminded of the gift of both mothers and fathers who show up with love and responsibility.

I’m especially grateful for my husband (pictured on the right with his mom) who carries that same heart. I’m pictured on the left with my mom.

Parenting is never easy, but it’s beautiful when done together with God’s grace holding us through. 🙏💛

If we haven’t given up today, it’s not by our own strength, but by God’s mercy that lifts us and His grace that sustains us. Thank You, Lord, for showing up in our lives when life is so hard on us 🙏🏼 We hope this encourages you too.

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗜𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁

Lord, thank You for trusting us with this little life.
Through every joy and every trial, we’ve never lacked and we know it’s all because of You.

We pray over my baby’s present and future, I pray blessings over her life…my Miahy (your child’s name), my most precious gift from You Lord.

May she always feel the love of two imperfect parents who lean on a perfect God.
Guide us, strengthen us, and remind us: You are writing her story, and ours, with a great purpose.

In Jesus’ name

𝗜𝗳 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁, 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹.

That’s why we’re making it a priority to learn the Bible for ourselves so we can pass it on with love, truth, and intention.

This week, we visited the Museum of the Bible (it’s free every last Tuesday of the month!) and explored the history of the Bible. One moment that really stood out? A wall showing all the languages the Bible has been translated into, and of course, Malagasy was right there. A beautiful reminder that God’s Word reaches far and wide.

We’re not perfect, but we’re committed to growing and building a foundation our daughter can stand on. One that’s rooted in love and faith.

𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝟲-𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗮𝗵𝘆

👑 Our Princess Miahy is officially 6 months old today — and oh, what a journey it’s been. We call her Princess, not just because she wore a dress fit for royalty (a beautiful gift from her Kenyan uncle and auntie), but because we believe she’s a daughter of King Jesus and a daily reminder of God’s grace.

👇🏽 As new parents, here’s a peek into Miahy’s first half-year earth-side:

1️⃣ Loves silly songs with Mom and Dad — especially when Daddy tries to sing in Malagasy (it’s so much fun and cute!).
2️⃣ Hates socks. Loves bare feet.
3️⃣ Sleeps on her tummy like Mom and Dad.
4️⃣ Still loves breastmilk, but will now explore mashed food.
5️⃣ Rolls all over the place and puts everything in her mouth.
6️⃣ Giggles a lot with us — but not for the camera (she keeps some smiles just for us!).
7️⃣ Drools, coos, and poops like a pro.
8️⃣ Bath time is the best! We sing silly songs and she loves them.
9️⃣ Loves any excuse to get out — church, the park, grocery runs, or just strolling around. Her smile? It melts hearts everywhere she goes.
🔟 Not a fan of shots, car seats, or being left alone… and don’t even mention diaper changes. Total drama. Haha

✝️ We named her Miahy Grace because her name carries a quiet truth: “Jesus watches over me.” We chose it in faith — and right now, we’re holding onto that promise more than ever. These past few months haven’t been easy. We’ve been searching, hoping, and waiting. But in the middle of it all, we’re reminded: God is still writing our story. And He is faithful.
