A new conversation is almost here 💙

At Shrinks on Tap, we talk about the things many women are carrying—but don’t always say out loud.

Relationships.
Boundaries.
Emotional patterns.
Friendship.
Healing.
Community.
And the messy, meaningful in-between.

Our next episode is dropping soon, and we’d love to have you with us.

🍩 Happy National Donut Day 💙

A gentle reminder from us at Shrinks on Tap:

You do not have to earn rest.
You do not have to be “caught up” before taking a break.
And you definitely don’t need a reason to enjoy a little joy.

Sometimes self-care looks deep and meaningful.
Sometimes it looks like texting a friend, stepping outside for fresh air…
or grabbing a donut and giving yourself 10 quiet minutes to breathe.

We love the idea of saving treats like this for mindful little “mental health breaks” or celebrating small wins (without guilt!)

Pause.
Be present.
Enjoy the bite.
Let yourself have the moment.

And if you’re spending today with someone you love, bonus points for sharing the donuts 🍩✨

👇 What’s your donut order today? Pink sprinkles, classic glazed, or chocolate?

One of our favorite reminders from this episode:

Therapy isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about becoming more fully yourself.

That line really stayed with us 💛

👇 What does “being more yourself” look like for you lately?

Some struggles feel loud.

Some feel quiet.

Questioning yourself in a relationship can leave you feeling confused, drained, and disconnected from your own voice.

And not having a community around you can feel just as heavy...like you’re carrying more than you should by yourself.

There’s no “right” answer here.

Just an honest check-in:
What feels harder right now?

👇 Tell us in the comments.

At Shrinks on Tap, we talk about these conversations often. Relationships, narcissism, boundaries, friendship, community, emotional wellness, and the things many women are navigating every day but don’t always say out loud.

If these topics resonate with you, we’d love to have you join in on the conversation.

A therapist should feel safe.

But therapy should also feel like it’s helping you move toward something meaningful.

That can look different for everyone—but feeling like you’ve been “just chatting” for years without movement? That’s worth paying attention to.

💬 Did anyone ever explain this to you before?

When people hear “Women’s Crawl,” they sometimes think it’s just a bar crawl…

But it’s become something so much deeper 💗

A space for women to connect.
To reflect.
To release.
To laugh.
And to step into their power together.

A lot of us minimize what hurt us because we tell ourselves:

“It wasn’t that bad.”

But trauma isn’t always what people expect.

Sometimes it’s one moment. One experience. Something your body still remembers years later.

💛 Have you ever learned later that something affected you more than you realized?

Therapy can feel mysterious if you’ve never been… or even if you have.

What actually happens once you sit down?
What do therapists notice?
Why can simply talking out loud create real change?

In this episode of Shrinks on Tap, Dr. Lauren Fisher and Dr. Eleni pull back the curtain on therapy—what it really looks like, what makes it helpful, and why the process can feel so powerful.

Whether you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, you’re already in it, or you’re just curious, we hope this conversation helps you feel a little more informed… and a little less alone. 🤍

Happy Birthday to our incredible co-founder, Dr. Lauren Fisher 💙

Lauren brings so much heart, wisdom, and genuine care to everything she touches. Whether she’s supporting clients through healing and growth, building meaningful community, or dreaming up what’s next for Shrinks On Tap, she leads with compassion, intention, and so much joy.

She has a beautiful way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for and that gift reaches far beyond the therapy room.

Lauren, we’re so grateful for your heart, your leadership, your laughter, and the energy you bring to this community. Thank you for all the ways you show up and make a difference.

Wishing you a birthday filled with joy, love, adventure, and plenty of moments that feel like you

Happy Birthday 💙✨

There’s something powerful about women creating space to show up for themselves… and for each other 💗

At Women’s Crawl in Falls Church, we felt exactly that: connection, conversation, laughter, and women stepping into their power together.

This was so much more than a fun afternoon out.
