The original and iconic LA Pride Parade is on, back in Hollywood, where it all began!
And PromoHomo.TV®'s Nicholas Snow did it! He broadcast the entire parade, raw and uncut (well, almost...apologies to D***s on Bikes who zoomed by before the camera was rolling as they say). It's all here for you to stream, almost three hours! (If so inspired, send Stars of appreciation to Nicholas here on Facebook).
PromoHomo.TV's Outinerary® is presented with the support of DAP Health, Pink Media and the campaign, KGAY 106.5 Palm Springs and Eight4Nine, Restaurant & Lounge.
FROM CHRISTOPHER STREET WEST before the event:
Did you know? In June 1970, we held the first permitted gay parade in the world, right here in LA, on Hollywood Blvd.
We missed celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2020 due to COVID, so this year, we’re finally bringing the parade back to Hollywood Blvd. Come out and cheer for over 130 parade floats, marchers, trucks, exotic cars, twirlers, performers and more, marching in style as only the LGBTQ community of LA and its allies can!
Community Grand Marshal: SIR LADY JAVA. As a popular LA nightclub star in the 1960s, Java was targeted by LAPD for violating “Rule Number 9,” a ban on “impersonation by means of costume or dress a person of the opposite sex.” Java challenged the law, and with some help from the ACLU, she won in court: Rule Number 9 was struck down. Java is a trailblazer and legend, and we celebrate this living pioneer of LGBTQ rights.
Celebrity Grand Marshal: MARK INDELICATO. Best known for playing Justin Suarez, the fashion-conscious, musical theater-loving nephew on the hit ABC show, “Ugly Betty,” Mark is currently starring in the Emmy-winning HBOMax series “Hacks.”
Icon Grand Marshal: Paula Abdul. A legendary performer, influential entertainer, Grammy and Emmy-winner, Paula headlined LA Pride festival in 2019, and co-hosted our 2021 digital experience on TikTok (streamed by almost three-quarters of a million viewers.) For her unwavering and tireless support of LA Pride and Christopher Street West, Paula Abdul is our inaugural Icon Grand Marshal.

I will close by saying that someone left a comment on one of my recent posts that "PromoHomo.TV is sad and pathetic" and I believe this same person commented in the past that I am a supreme narcissist.
One day I will be dead (hopefully not for many more decades) and while there will be haters out there who celebrate my demise, until then I will keep doing what I've been doing for almost 40 years, working to make the world a better place, simply working to create a world where it is safe and possible and probable and a no-brainer for someone like me to find love (we don't have this world yet....a lot more to do!).
If you ever wondered how my media activism came to be, check out my recent speech talking about this last decade, which may have never happened, for me anyway:

I THANK ALL OF YOU and the millions of people who have watched videos I've created in my lifetime (I can back this up); the hundreds of thousands of people who have watched PromoHomo.TV over the last five or six years (I can back this up too); and everyone with whom I trudge this road of happy destiny.
With love and gratitude,
Nicholas Snow
