With Labor Day behind us, community events kick into high gear around Milton. And you don't have to wait until the weekend for some family-friendly fun.

Crabapple Live returns to Milton's downtown from 5 to 8 p.m. this Thursday, September 4. As it does the first Thursday every month, the action will center around the Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails garden along Heritage Walk. Swing by to try delicious foods and drinks, shop at local vendors, entertain your kids, enjoy live music, and a whole lot more.

This is the second-to-last edition in the inaugural Crabapple Live season, so this would be a great time to check it out! Earlier ones have gotten rave reviews for their cool community vibe and then some. Hope to see you there this Thursday!

Meet Savannah, a 19-year-old artist from Forsyth County, Georgia, on the autism spectrum who has turned challenges into creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurship.

Once bullied in school, Savannah found healing through art. That passion has led to multiple awards, published features, and recognition as a young artist to watch. Today, she’s the proud founder of 2 businesses:

Meet my neighbor Jack!

3D Prints by Jack is a small side hustle that belongs to Jack Chipchase from Milton!

He bought his first 3D printer with money he had been saving up! At first, he printed for fun and was getting to know how it worked and what he enjoyed printing.

One day he walked into the local toy store, Learning Express, and saw a section of 3D printed animals they were selling. He instantly thought that he could make those same toys! He went home and put together a bio and some sample prints to present to the manager of the Alpharetta location. Excited to partner with a local kid, he landed his first order. He now regularly stocks their store with a selection of 3D prints including keychains, animals, and fidget toys! Come check out his prints at Learning Express in Alpharetta!

On October 4 they will be hosting a kid entrepreneur festival, and Jack will be there and have some special prints just for the event!

If our child owns a locally run business and meets all city guidelines for kids businesses, message me to get them featured.
