Region 1B baseball playoffs ⚾️

Final

William Campbell hit the road for their region quarterfinal matchup against Surry County this evening and defeated the second-seeded Cougars 10-4.

Landon Elder led the Generals at the plate with three hits including a double, triple & 3 RBI’s. The senior lefty tossed five quality frames, striking out 12 batters to earn the win on the mound.

The Generals lineup stole eight bases including a pair each from Xavier Waller & Teagen Geppert and featured the hitting duo of Chase Hedrick (2-3, run, 3 RBI’s) & Ayden Jackson (2-2, double, 2 RBI’s).

William Campbell (8-12) advances to the Region 1B semifinals this Tuesday at 6pm as they will travel to face third-seeded Luray (11-9), the Bulldogs defeated Buffalo Gap 9-2 in their quarterfinal matchup.
