☀️ Hello, June!

The latest issue of Stroll The Colonies is here, and it’s filled with stories that celebrate the people, places, and connections that make our neighborhood feel like home.

In this month’s issue, you’ll meet Addie Slater, a young reader whose passion for books is already making an impact in our community, discover local businesses built on service and relationships, get to know an adorable rescue pup named Hank, and step inside a stunning Tuscany-inspired home. Each story is a reminder that what makes The Colonies special isn’t just where we live, but the people who call it home.

As summer begins, we hope this issue inspires you to slow down, connect with neighbors, and enjoy all the moments that make this season so memorable.

Happy reading, The Colonies! ❤️

🎓 Today’s Senior Spotlight is Jeremiah Cunningham!
Jeremiah, the son of John and Larissa Cunningham, is graduating from Amarillo High School and plans to attend Amarillo College to study Business.
Throughout high school, Jeremiah has grown not only academically, but personally and creatively as well. One of the things he is most proud of is learning to play multiple instruments and continuing to develop his talents and passions along the way.
Jeremiah values the friendships and memories he has made over the years and knows he will miss seeing his friends every day. He is especially grateful for his close friend Luke Worsham, whose encouragement, advice, and support have meant so much to him throughout high school.
As he looks ahead to this next season of life, Jeremiah is excited for all the opportunities the future holds. He hopes to build a meaningful life centered around faith, family, and hard work while continuing to grow into the person God has called him to be.
His advice to younger students is to lead by example, stay true to yourself, and remember that not everyone has to agree with you for you to confidently walk in who you are.
Jeremiah’s senior soundtrack would be “Everything We Need” because it reminds him that through God and the people who love and support you, you already have everything you truly need.
We are so proud of you, Jeremiah, and can’t wait to see all that’s ahead! 🎓

🎓 Today’s Senior Spotlight is Brooklyn Albracht!

When Brooklyn looks back on high school, it’s the friendships and memories with the people she loves most that she will cherish forever. From everyday moments to special memories with friends and family, those relationships made high school so meaningful.
Brooklyn is most proud of staying true to herself and continuing to grow in her faith throughout high school. Her advice to underclassmen is to slow down and enjoy the season you are in because senior year goes by faster than you think.
She is excited for all the opportunities ahead at Baylor, especially meeting new people and finding a strong community rooted in faith.

☀️ Transform your outdoor space with Patio Shield of Texas☀️

Built for West Texas conditions, Patio Shield’s custom motorized screens help homeowners enjoy their patios through every season by protecting against harsh sun, wind, dirt, and cold temperatures.

Founded by Amarillo native Taylor Martin, Patio Shield was created with one goal in mind: helping families reclaim their outdoor spaces while providing an exceptional customer experience from start to finish. What began as a business quickly grew into a partnership when customer Coltyn Daughenbaugh believed in the product so much that he became an owner himself.

Together, they’ve built Patio Shield around quality, relationships, and creating spaces where families can spend more time together outdoors.
We loved featuring Patio Shield of Texas in this month’s issue of Stroll The Colonies! 🤍

✨ Home of the Month ✨
For Darren and Samantha Vance, home is more than just a beautiful space. It is where family gathers, memories are made, and life is lived together.

After spending three years in The Colonies, they knew this community was exactly where they wanted to stay. Their newly built home, constructed by Brynem Construction, immediately felt like home the moment they stepped inside.

With its warm modern transitional design, soft neutral tones, layered textures, and thoughtful details throughout, every space reflects their personal style while still feeling inviting and lived in. From the hidden butler’s pantry to the cozy spaces filled with the energy of their three children, the home perfectly blends beauty and functionality.

Samantha’s advice when designing a home? Trust the process and choose what you love. When a home is built around the people who live there, it becomes more than beautiful. It becomes meaningful.

We loved featuring the Vance family and their stunning home in this month’s issue of Stroll The Colonies! 🤍

Do you have a beautiful home or know a neighbor whose space deserves to be teatured? We would love to hear trom you.
