A lot of families assume that driving to Magic Kingdom means walking right in.
And it makes sense — you parked, you’re there, it feels like arrival.
But Magic Kingdom works a little differently.
When you drive, you’re arriving at the Transportation & Ticket Center first — which means one more step (monorail or ferry) before you ever reach the gates.
This doesn’t mean driving is wrong.
It just means Magic Kingdom mornings have layers that are easy to underestimate — especially if you’re planning around early entry, strollers, or tired kids.
Thinking this through ahead of time isn’t overplanning.
It’s how families avoid morning stress and start the day calmer.
This is also why resort and transportation choices matter more than they seem at first glance.
