Jack Albertson was one of those rare performers who seemed to do it allโ€”stage, radio, television, and filmโ€”building a career that spanned more than four decades.

Long before many knew him as Grandpa Joe in ๐˜ž๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜บ ๐˜ž๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฌ๐˜ข & ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜Š๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฆ ๐˜๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜บ, Albertson was already a seasoned entertainerโ€ฆ working in vaudeville, appearing on Broadway, and showing up in classic TV shows like ๐˜”๐˜ณ. ๐˜Œ๐˜ฅ, where he played Paul Fenton.

These days, the character of Grandpa Joe gets a lot of online criticism and debateโ€ฆ but itโ€™s worth remembering the incredibly talented actor behind the role. Albertson brought warmth, humor, and heart to everything he did.

He also became a household name in the 1970s as Ed Brown on ๐˜Š๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ฐ ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜”๐˜ข๐˜ฏ, a role that earned him an Emmy and showcased his incredible range as both a comedic and dramatic actor.

Disney fans will always recognize his voice as Amos Slade in ๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜๐˜ฐ๐˜น ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ... a role that added real depth and emotion to one of Disneyโ€™s most powerful stories. The film was released in July 1981, and Albertson passed away just a few months laterโ€ฆ making it one of his final performances.

A true rarity in Hollywood, he achieved the โ€œTriple Crown of Acting,โ€ winning an Oscar, Emmy, and Tony during his remarkable career.

Mickeyโ€™s Birthdayland officially opened at Magic Kingdomโ€”created to celebrate Mickey Mouseโ€™s 60th birthday! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿญ

Set in the storybook town of Duckburg, U.S.A., this charming land gave guests a chance to โ€œvisitโ€ Mickey at his country home, with colorful buildings, playful details, and a meet-and-greet experience that felt more personal than ever before.

One of the most memorable spots was Grandma Duckโ€™s Farm ๐Ÿ”, a real petting farm filled with live animals. And of course, the star of the show was Minnie Moo ๐Ÿ„... the famous โ€œtri-circle spotted cow,โ€ whose natural markings formed a perfect Mickey silhouette. She quickly became one of the most beloved (and most photographed) residents in Birthdayland.

Though it was only meant to be temporary, Birthdayland proved so popular that it stuck aroundโ€”eventually evolving into Mickeyโ€™s Starland, then Mickeyโ€™s Toontown Fair, and later making way for the Fantasyland expansion we know today.

For many, this was their first time stepping into Mickeyโ€™s world in such an up-close wayโ€ฆ and itโ€™s a memory that still brings a smile. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sad news today. ๐Ÿ’” Daveigh Chase, best known as the voice of Lilo in ๐˜“๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ & ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ค๐˜ฉ, has passed away at just 35 years old.

According to reports, Chase passed away on June 16 after recently being hospitalized, with complications from meningitis and severe blood infections that led to sepsis.

Her role as Lilo remains one of the most memorable from the early 2000s era of Disney animation.

She helped bring one of Disneyโ€™s most heartfelt and unique characters to life โ€” capturing both the spirit and emotion of Lilo in a way that still resonates today. She also earned a Young Artist Award for the role and continued voicing Lilo in the filmโ€™s sequels and the animated series.

She had another Disney connection early in her career as well, voicing Chihiro in the English dub of ๐˜š๐˜ฑ๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ˆ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜บ, which was distributed in the U.S. by Disney.

Beyond Disney, she was widely known for her role as Samara in ๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜™๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ, as well as appearances in ๐˜‹๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ฆ ๐˜‹๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฌ๐˜ฐ and the HBO series ๐˜‰๐˜ช๐˜จ ๐˜“๐˜ฐ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ.

But for so many of us, sheโ€™ll always be Lilo.

A truly unforgettable voice from a generation of Disney storytelling, gone far too soon.

Riders experienced the aroma of fresh grass over the African Serengeti, followed by a crisp ocean breeze over Fiji, and the sweet smell of roses over India's Taj Mahal.

The experience featured distinct endings depending on the coast, as EPCOT riders finished their flight at Spaceship Earth while California riders wrapped up their trip over Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A. Additionally, the original score by legendary composer Jerry Goldsmith was beautifully updated for 2016 by Bruce Broughton, who integrated traditional international instruments to match the new visuals.
