Disney California Adventure’s upcoming Coco attraction will take guests on a boat ride through Miguel’s memories of the Land of the Dead! The story takes place one year after the original film and will feature Miguel, Dante, Héctor and more, with Disney promising music, Mexican culture and next-generation Audio-Animatronics. Construction is already underway near Pixar Pier and Paradise Gardens Park, and there will be no height requirement.

Disney Cruise Line has revealed that Moana will take center stage aboard the new Disney Believe! A bronze-cast statue of Moana alongside Pua and Hei Hei will greet guests in the ship’s Grand Hall, with the entire space drawing inspiration from the world and spirit of Moana. The Disney Believe is scheduled to set sail in late 2027.

Disneyland October 2026 ride closures and fireworks schedule! Here’s what to know before visiting Disneyland and Disney California Adventure this October.

🎃 Ride Closures - At Disneyland Park, Indiana Jones Adventure and Mad Tea Party are currently scheduled to remain closed for refurbishment with reopening dates still TBD. It’s a small world is also expected to close later in October to transform into it’s a small world Holiday. At Disney California Adventure, there are currently no major ride refurbishments scheduled for October. Dates are always subject to change.

💙 Disneyland Fireworks — Halloween Screams takes place throughout October, but fireworks are generally scheduled Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at 9:30 PM. On most Monday through Thursday nights, you can still catch Halloween Screams with projections but without fireworks.

Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Believe, is quickly taking shape! Massive sections of the ship are now being assembled at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany as construction continues toward its late 2027 debut. The Believe will be the fourth Wish-class Disney ship, following the Disney Wish, Treasure and Destiny.

Disneyland’s Tomorrowland is FINALLY getting a major reimagining! 🚀 Disney has confirmed plans for new attractions, more open spaces and other new experiences, although exactly what’s coming hasn’t been revealed yet. Current reporting indicates Tomorrowland has moved ahead in Disneyland’s development pipeline while the Avatar project has been pushed further out, meaning we could see Tomorrowland’s transformation take shape first. For now, though, Disney has not announced a construction start date or specific attraction lineup.

Disneyland Resort is keeping the scaled back the Festival of Holidays marketplaces this year, with 6 Festive Food Marketplaces planned for Disney California Adventure. For comparison, the festival featured 8 standalone marketplaces in 2023.

But fewer booths doesn’t necessarily mean fewer holiday foodie excitement. Disneyland still spread seasonal items across existing restaurants and dining locations throughout the resort, so this could mean more of the festival’s food lineup showing up beyond the traditional booths.

Toy Story 5 is making its way into Toy Story Land! Beginning September 25, new character Lilypad will take over the music at Alien Swirling Saucers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with “Lilypad’s Jams.” The new soundtrack will remix Toy Story classics alongside brand-new songs, while Lilypad will also entertain guests waiting nearby with games, doodles and more.
