Disney World is getting a brand-new Pocahontas-inspired water play area at its upcoming resort, Disney Lakeshore Lodge! The immersive area will feature a winding lazy river and interactive water elements inspired by the natural beauty and adventurous spirit of Pocahontas. Guests can expect themed environments, storytelling details, and plenty of opportunities for families to cool off while enjoying the resort’s lakeside setting.

Set along the shores of Bay Lake, Disney Lakeshore Lodge is designed to celebrate the beauty of nature, the outdoors, and the spirit of exploration. The Pocahontas-themed water area is expected to be one of the resort’s standout features, blending Disney storytelling with relaxing resort amenities. As more details are revealed, this could become one of the most unique resort recreation experiences at Walt Disney World.

Disneyland Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 prices and sale date reminder!

🎃 The event takes place select nights from August 23 through October 31 at Disney California Adventure. The party runs from 6 PM–11 PM, and guests can enter the park as early as 3 PM. Costumes are permitted (subject to guidelines), and the event includes complimentary treat trails, special character encounters, themed entertainment, and typically lower attraction wait times.

👻 While the Frightfully Fun Parade will not return this year, a brand-new experience called Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party will debut, featuring music, dancing, and characters inspired by the Haunted Mansion. The Headless Horseman will still make his iconic ride through the park before the entertainment begins each night.

🕸️ Notes: Magic Key presales take place June 16–17, with general sales beginning June 18. Each sale day ends at 11:59 PM PT. Dates that become unavailable during presales may return during later sales as inventory is replenished. Also, September 27 is exclusively for D23 Members (I have a previous post with more details)!

Oogie Boogie Bash will have a special night just for D23 members! Taking place on Sunday, Sept. 27 at Disney California Adventure, the event will feature exclusive perks in addition to everything offered on other event nights.

🎃 Exclusive to D23 Night at Oogie Boogie Bash, guests can enjoy additional photo backdrops, two exclusive pins, and a DJ at the Paradise Garden Bandstand. Guests will also receive complimentary candy, unlimited PhotoPass downloads, and early entry beginning at 3 PM. A link to purchase the pins will be sent to the ticket purchaser at a later date (one link per order). The purchase limit is two pins total, one of each style.

🍭 D23 members can purchase tickets beginning June 16, no earlier than 9 AM PT. You may purchase tickets for yourself and your guests!

Toy Story 5 World Premiere in Hollywood, California! What a surprisingly incredible night! It began with a screening of the film at the Dolby Theatre, where, shortly before showtime, we ran into new Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro, who stopped by for a brief chat. After the screening, we were all treated to a surprise performance by Taylor Swift, who sang her song from the film, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” before joining Randy Newman for a duet of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”

🐴 During the after-party, guests played games while I hunted down the updated character costumes that will soon appear in the parks, including Woody in his poncho (I still can’t confirm whether he has a bald spot or not), Buzz sporting a deputy star, and a new Bullseye character. Bullseye hasn’t been announced for the parks, but I’m hoping that he makes an appearance!

🚀 Congratulations to the filmmakers of Toy Story 5—especially those I had the chance to interview and meet, including Andrew Stanton, Lindsey Collins, and McKenna Harris! I can’t wait for everyone to experience Toy Story 5 when it arrives in theaters on June 19.
