Today marks two years since Saria’s passing. I wish we were coming to Facebook with better news, but the trial still has yet to be scheduled. How quickly and also how slowly two years have passed. We miss Saria everyday, but know she is with us in many small ways. Her memory has been carried in the hearts of many around the world and into the depths of our sorrows. Thank you for supporting us and for caring about our beautiful bad ass sunshine girl.

A quick update. The trial for Saria's murder is in the process of being rescheduled. It will not begin on May 5th as previously announced. There is a hearing next month which will hopefully determine a new start date.

Huge update today. At a hearing today, the trial date was finally set. It will begin on May 5, 2025. We are grateful for some forward momentum, but know it will be a difficult road ahead of us.

We are still waiting. The next hearing date is November 13th. The judicial system is slow. We are increasingly frustrated and it feels like a let down every month when scheduling gets pushed further into the future. But we understand that there is a process that must be adhered to and we want the prosecution to be as prepared as possible when the case finally goes to trial.

Today at a hearing in Saria’s case we learned that the trial scheduling will be pushed again. Hoping for more movement and information at the next hearing on Sept. 11th

Unfortunately at the hearing on the 17th they pushed the scheduling of the trial. There will be a hearing again on 7/31 and we hope to have some better news then.

We finally have an update and some forward momentum. On July 17th there will be hearing to set a start date for Saria’s trial.

This news is both welcome and anxiety inducing. We are grateful to hopefully be on our way to getting justice for Saria, but we also know that the start of the trial will bring with it many emotions and heartache.

Reliving the experience and learning more details about the case will be difficult for us, her family. We appreciate all of your support moving forward, as well as the kindness and aide that has been given up to this point.

Please keep Saria and her family and friends in your thoughts as we move towards the next steps in finding justice for our dearly missed girl.

Today at a hearing in Saria’s case the judge announced another continuance. The next scheduled hearing for is set for 2/28/2024. We are hopeful that we will see some movement in the case soon.
