W8D7, Red’s Day, Nostalgia — Love in Motion
This week, Red watched me fall in love with life in a new way.
Not the romantic kind, but the most precious kind.
It’s the kind that shows up when we care for someone with no expectation,
and somehow receive even more in return.
The essence of Red reminds me that love is never one-sided.
It moves like breath—outward and inward, giving and receiving,
healing the parts of us that once went without.
Caring for a new mother and her baby stirred something deep in me.
Somewhere in the feeding schedules and soft sighs,
I met a version of love that my younger self had always longed for—
one rooted in safety, not survival.
This is what compassion looks like when it matures:
tender acts of care that are also acts of healing. Thank you for walking with us this week.
In Love & Light,
Red and Lisa
