Bulky coats and car seats don’t mix.

Thick jackets prevent the harness from fitting snugly against a child’s body. In a crash, that padding compresses, creating dangerous slack that can lead to serious injury — even if the seat looked tight.

This isn’t about kids being cold.

Car seat safety experts recommend:
• No bulky coats in the car seat
• Harness snug, chest clip at armpit level

I was born in the 2000s 🌈
and sometimes I really miss being a kid.

I miss waking up early just to watch cartoons in the morning 📺☀️
sitting in front of a big TV, flipping through DVDs,
not caring what day it was or what needed to get done.

I miss getting home from school, dropping my backpack by the door 🎒
grabbing after-school snacks like fruit snacks, crackers, or a juice pouch 🍎🧃
then running back outside like the world was waiting for us.

Riding bikes up and down the street 🚲
racing friends, scraping knees,
laughing until our faces hurt.
Summer nights that felt endless 🌙✨
warm air, fireflies, bare feet on the pavement,
and the sound of someone’s mom calling everyone inside.

No phones in our hands 📵
No social media.
No pressure to grow up so fast.

Life felt slower back then.
Simpler. Lighter.
We didn’t know we were in the good days —
we were just living them. 🤍

I’d give anything to go back to those moments,
even just for one more summer night 🌌💫
